Enjoying overwhelming critical acclaim for their latest album, “Opus” (2018), Afenginn represents something unique on the Nordic Folk/rock scene. Originally Afenginn was more of a Balkan brass/rock project, but has then developed towards more classical chamber music with prominent Nordic undertones. Oscillating between dreamy, swinging, magnificent, and all fragile, Afenginn’s music is both powerful and intoxicating.
