15 New Acts: From Doom Metal to Electro, Synth and Dreamy Scandi-pop.

We’re ready again to raise the curtain on some of the new acts confirmed to play at this year’s SPOT. And this time we’re going to announce a full palette of musical treats ranging from doom metal to electro, synth and dreamy Scandi-pop.

FRUM (FO), Ellis May and Nelson Can are just a few of the acts you can start looking forward to at SPOT 2018.
With an incredible dreamy and artistic approach, the Faroese pop singer and songwriter Jenný Augustudóttir Kragesteen has impressed with her just one-year-old project FRUM, a music project that encompasses both singing, dancing and artworks. Ellis May is another very interesting woman. Having studied sound design at the National Film School of Denmark, the Danish artist with the common name Sophia Maj is a singer, composer and producer. Her works are gloomy end electronic, and after three singles to great reviews from the music industry we’re eagerly awaiting her next move.

Nelson Can boast one of the strong all-female line-ups we’re going to see at SPOT. This garage band trio have opted to discard the guitar and play tight lo-fi blues rock with a vocal lead, a bass guitar and drums. They have been around since 2011 and have seen rotation on British BBC 1 on BBC 6 radio as well as received solid acclaim for their latest EP from 2017, “EP3”.
