Carnival for adults

Rikke from blaavinyl.dk has been a guest a SPOT each year since 2004 and it’s definately a highlight of the year, which they use to call ”Carnival for adults”. They look forward to dive into the program, when they arrive in Aarhus in just a short of time. Until then they will recommend some of all the great concerts you can get to experience at SPOT.

We experienced the raw rock attitude live when we recently were at a concert with Rebecca Lou. The Rock is alive and well. A big recommendation from here.

Speaking of power, here’s true boy power of the finest pop caliber, we have in Denmark. Asbjørn isn’t afraid to show his innermost pop boy on stage and he’s definitely an act you need to experience live.

Bisse

A nostalgic world we could recognize, and something we look forward to experience live at SPOT. At the same time you never know, what Bisse is going to show, so we are very curious to see, what he brings to the stage.

Rikke, especially, has followed this band since their debut concert in 2015, and all days been a bit in love with lead singer Niels Fejrskov Juhl’s crisp Ian Curtis-kind of voice and the entire 80’s aesthetics. It’s been a while since we last followed them on the blog, but we are so excited to relive them at SPOT.

When you see a concert with Iris Gold, the party is a guarantee. It just doesn’t get any more soul and this lady and her groovy band is a must to experience live.

Jada

Jada’s first single ’Sure’ made such a big impression, that Rikke had to hear it several times in a row, to understand just how crazily great the song was. Recently a lot of live clips has been showing up in her feed and it’s gives a very good picture of what to expect of Jada’s live performance. She is definitely one, you don’t want to miss.

John.Mesh

Probably the most secretive artist at this year’s SPOT, because he hasn’t released any music yet. Jack, who is the man behind John.Mesh, can be recognized by some, as a part of Slowes, but the new project should be something quite different. So we look forward to experience that at SPOT.

Kira Skov

We are very excited about her latest record, which is written to her deceased husband, Nicolai Munch-Hansen. It’s a very beautiful record filled with both melancholy and lots of love, and we look forward to experiencing the music live at SPOT.
